Botanical source
Nectar of the Jarrah tree (Eucalyptus marginata).
Native only to the old-growth forests of South-West Western Australia — a single-origin honey from one of the world's rarest eucalypt species.
Why it's rare
Jarrah trees flower only once every ~2 years.
Yields are shrinking due to land clearing and disease pressure on old-growth forests. This is genuine, natural scarcity — not manufactured hype.
What TA 20+ means
Total Activity — WA's equivalent of Manuka's UMF / MGO.
TA measures antibacterial strength via phenol-equivalent lab testing. TA 5–10+ is everyday care, TA 20–30+ is stronger immune / therapeutic use, and TA 30+ is medicinal grade. TA 20+ sits comfortably in the immune-support, everyday-plus tier.
Key qualities
High antibacterial activity, high antioxidants, low GI.
Naturally high hydrogen-peroxide antibacterial activity, antioxidant levels reported as 2–3× Manuka, and a naturally low glycaemic index (~35–50 GI depending on source) — often preferred by diabetics and health-conscious buyers. Traditionally used to support wound care, sore throat and cough relief, and gut and digestive health.
Taste & texture
Dark amber, thick, caramel-like — smooth, not medicinal.
Less bitter and less medicinal-tasting than Manuka, which many people find more enjoyable for daily use — on toast, in tea, or straight off the spoon.

How to use

Enjoy a spoonful daily, add to warm (not boiling) drinks, drizzle over toast or use as a natural wound dressing. Jarrah honey is naturally thick, dark and malty — a little goes a long way.

Care tip

Has your honey crystalised or started to become too thick? This is totally normal, natural and a characteristic of raw honey. To soften, place the jar in warm water and stir after a few minutes.

For active honeys, do not heat above 45°C — high temperatures can reduce the activity and healing benefits.
